Whether a beginner or an advanced musician, Sydney Music School Toongabbie has passionately nurtured young musicians and supported them in reaching their full potential since its launch in May 2016.
Principal and founder Gerard Alvares has a dedication to the development and nurturing of young musicians. With years of experience in music education, he understands the importance of providing a safe and inclusive space for students to explore their talents. He believes in the power of music to uplift and inspire, and strives to create an environment where students can not only grow musically but also in their outlook on life. By incorporating biblical principles into his methods, he aims to instill values such as discipline, perseverance, and teamwork in his students.
Sydney Music School Toongabbie has grown over time, going from Gerard teaching on his own to now having a team of eight fantastic teachers. The school is proud of its hand-picked group of skilled teachers who share a common passion and vision.
The AMEB exam participation of our students showed a consistent growth over the years, with the number of students increasing from 4 in 2016 to 46 sitting various AMEB exams in 2023. Despite the pandemic, lockdown, and online lessons that lasted 6 months, our growth remained unaffected during that time!
