Being parents of a 7 and a half-year-old daughter, we were looking for nearby violin lessons and came across Sydney Music School Toongabbie'through a Google search.
Our encounter with Gerard led us to enrol our child in violin lessons with little anticipation. We've never made a better decision than that. Gerard's love for music and teaching is clear in his patient and encouraging approach towards his students, motivating them to always aim for their best.
Gerard's teaching has had a significant impact on our daughter's music lessons. In just 12 months, she completed the AMEB violin Preliminary and Grade 1 exams with an A+ (high distinction) and achieved an A (Honours) in the Grade 2 exam. Now 9 years old, she received top marks (A+ High Distinction) in her Grade 3 violin exam and is currently making impressive progress in Grade 4. Getting an A+ or A result in the AMEB music exam is no easy feat, but Gerard's high-quality teaching consistently inspired my daughter to aim for excellence.
While preparing for her Grade 3 exam, my daughter was feeling nervous and making minor mistakes. However, Gerard believed in her musical talent and helped her without asking for additional payment. As a result, she achieved an A+ (High distinction).
Our daughters are now taking piano lessons too, and they are enjoying them and making significant progress.
Each year, Sydney Music School Toongabbie organizes exciting end-of-year concerts in a great venue that my children really look forward to. The young ones have a fantastic opportunity to exhibit their talents on stage, in front of their families and peers.
