Our Principal, Gerard Alvares has had a successful career in the Indian Film Industry as a musician for many of the famous music directors in Bollywood before migrating to Australia in 1990.

In Sydney Australia, Gerard studied the Violin and later the Viola under Roslyn Streckfuss and gained an Associate of Music Australia Diploma through the Australian Music Examinations Board. He has much experience playing in various symphony and chamber orchestras and teaching in various music schools across Sydney. Currently he is part of the Hillsong worship team where he plays the viola.

Gerard is a committed Christian who is devoted to teaching music by adapting biblical principles and revelation of God’s creation of music.

As a teacher, Gerard is passionate about creating a passion and generating a positive expression of music in the young student. Gerard is committed to developing the skills of a young student using positive reinforcement. Using the Bible and it’s teachings as the underlying basis of why music was created, Gerard creates a fun and enjoyable environment that will facilitate a genuine interest and positive attitude towards learning music.

David is currently studying worship music at Hillsong Leadership College. He majored in music and has much experience playing keyboards and guitar in many jazz and pop bands, violin in chamber orchestras and various string ensembles in Taiwan and across Sydney.

David loves teaching and is passionate about mentoring children in their musical journey!

Grace has been studying piano since the age of 3 and is part of the Hillsong Children’s worship team. She serves the children with passion and diligence playing the Guitar, Keyboard or as a vocalist as and when it is needed.

Grace is currently studying a double degree at the University of New South Wales, doing Science and Engineering. She is hoping to complete her Bachelor of Music after that.

Grace has an extremely kind and patient attitude that brings out the best in children. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation.

Immanuel has been learning the drums since he was 8 years old. He is currently in the youth worship band at Hillsong.

Immanuel has been studying the drums under the tutelage of Brendan Tan and is excelling in it. He hopes that he will become a professional drummer by the time he leaves school in two years.

Immanuel has a kind and gentle demeanor and loves sharing his love and passion he has for music with one and all!
